Gate playground De Waag

Commissioned by the board of playground De Waag

For playground De Waag in the Nieuwmarkt area in the centre of Amsterdam I have realised the entrance gate. The design is a representation of the famous De Waag building on the Nieuwmarkt, a square nearby and the namesake of the playground.
Together with children from the neighbourhood I drew building of De Waag. After that I made a selection from the drawings which form the base for the final design.
The inauguration of the gate took place on March 21, 2009.
