In 2008-2009 I was commissioned by the director of the Public Library (Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam / OBA) in Amsterdam, Hans van Velzen, to design a fountain for the square in front of the recently realized central library at Oosterdokseiland in the centre of Amsterdam. After the research and preliminary design I presented the outlines in May 2009. Unfortunately OBA did not get permission from the Amsterdam city council to continue with the fountain project.
